Mineola also offers one of the few Texas active Amtrak connections. Consider a short inexpensive day trip to Dallas to visit downtown Dallas Kennedy Memorial The Book Depository and more - all within walking distance of the Reunion Station. Among our amenities such as FREE Wi-Fi two 24 hr laundries / showers / ADA restrooms a Club House 24 hr Fitness Center and FREE use of DVDs VHS books and book tapes Somewhere RV Park also offers a leash free pet park doggy treats and water at the office and an attitude that dogs are just furry people. (Some good - some bad - ha!) We have two Golden Retreivers who live on-site with us and the park mascot is a neighbor dog named Lucy who visits each RV daily to get a treat or share a little 'doggy love'. We (or some other dog lovers in the park) will often 'pup sit' while you leave for a few hours to enjoy some of the Mineola or neighboring amenites. If no one at the park is available when you need them there are other local folks who also 'pup sit'. Our park rules are simple and apply to people and pets:
Things just fall into place with these rules when each person (and pet) remembers to 'walk a mile in the other guy's shoes' and remembers to think ""how would I like it IF ..."". Pet Policies: As long as your dog (or cat for that matter) won't run off and/or won't be aggressive to other pets or people they can enjoy the park pretty much leash free. The pet park (known as our Furry Bird Park) is a 'doody free' zone which means 'Fur Face' can do his duty aka doody without you following him around with a plastic bag! Most other areas of the park are lightly wooded and are pretty much 'doody free' zones as well; as long as the 'presents' aren't in areas where people or kids walk and play and don't begin to 'perfume' an area (aka stink). For insurance purposes and in consideration of our park visitors guests and residents anyone with a 'vicious dog breed' will have to stay Somewhere-ELSE (sorry). Your dog may be a real sweetheart but unfortunately the news (and insurance companies) are too well aware that even some sweet natured dogs can get cranky and do terrible harm to other animals or people. |
